We invite you to look around and get to know us. The Texas State Alliance of YMCAs represents the interests and concerns of Ys across Texas to build capacity and leadership in the areas of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility. The Alliance functions to advocate on behalf of local Ys to promote our three areas of focus while fostering statewide communication and collaboration in over 200 urban, suburban and rural communities. Collectively, we serve more than 1.4 million Texans; so that together we can inspire change by addressing local issues and strengthening communities. Through strategic partnerships and collaborations with school districts, higher education institutions, hospitals, state and local government, we work diligently to achieve our mission of building healthy spirit, mind, and body.
Youth Development
Nurturing the potential of every child and teen. Collectively, Texas YMCAs are the largest licensed provider of care for Texas youth. With devoted staff running Pre-K (at Ys and ISDs)- School Age kids, we are at the forefront of child development.
Healthy Living
Improving the nation’s health and well-being. The Texas State Alliance of YMCAs goal is simple - create a healthier Texas. We offer a variety of wellness classes and outreach services to promote healthy life through mind, body, and spirit.
Social Responsibility
Giving back and providing support to our neighbors. Every generation has the power to drive change. The Y amplifies the voices and power for people of all ages and demographics. For nearly 170 years, we have served as a safe haven for the community.
